Position: CMTS engineer

Location: Boston, MA

Duration: 6 Months+

 

We need a CMTS engineer to sit here in Boston. They can relocate, will be 1 phone to hire. It is for the night shift so need to make sure the candidate is okay with that (4 day work week, 10 hour shift). Can work with H1 visas.

 

Must-haves

- Minimum two solid years of CMTS configuration experience
- Must be able to read a NCP (Node Combining Plan)
- Cisco UBR experience
- IPV6 experience
- RF experience

 

Plusses

- ISIS experience

 

Day-to-Day

Our client is looking for a CMTS engineer to help build configurations for the cable network. He or she will be responsible for reading the Node Combining plan created by the design team and build and implement the configurations. He or she will work off a ticketing system and work on the SMOP's that came in during the day. The volume of tickets is approximately 10-15 per 10 hour shift. The engineer will be responsible for making the changes to the router/device then closing out the ticket. Troubleshooting will be required as necessary. Shift is 3rd shift (Sunday thru Wednesday 8:30pm to 7am.)
