Title: Full Stack JAVA Developer

Location: Lake Forest, IL 

Duration: Contract
Start: ASAP

All visa holders are accepted other than H1B

 Local candidates STRONGLY preferred

1.  Responsible for building pilots/prototypes driven by customer needs.  These needs are constantly changing - sometimes scrapped to go in a totally different direction

2.  Environment is an "Ad hoc development" team, use a Kanban framework to track work in progress (different than a traditional Agile environment in that there are not Scrum teams or other support teams around them)

3.  Mindset Descriptions for this team:  similar to a "Hack a thon" or "school project" DevOps - type approach to development - must be comfortable with this!

4.  Someone whose background has been heavily focused on developing mission critical financial or banking applications usually will not possess this mindset - they are too methodical, slow in their development and have teams of QA and support people around them....this is very different approach to development.

  

High-Level Skills

• Experience creating RESTful APIs from scratch where no service had previously existed
• IBM Bluemix (Node Red, Cloud Foundry, SQL, Cloudant)
• Node.js
• Javascript
• HTML/CSS

Responsibilities

• Create RESTful APIs for an information service that the Emerging Opportunities team is providing customers
• Work with databases, servers, systems engineering and client work
