The position I am looking for is requiring experience with AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) and the Slightly video platform.
Position Overview
The Front End Developer will be responsible for the development and enhancements to our eCommerce systems.
The Front End Developer will work directly with the Full Stack Engineer and Technical Architect and will be responsible for development and maintenance activities within the entire technology stack. The person at this position is expected to work in alignment with the goals defined by the Digital marketing and eCommerce leadership and the Marketing technology leadership.
The Front End Developer will be responsible for performing development and maintenance activities per approved specifications, incorporate bug fixes, perform all developments per coding standards during every phase of the development lifecycle.
The Front End Developer is expected to be experienced in working within various development models and should be able to quickly adapt to the traditional waterfall, iterative and also agile methodologies.
The Front End developer is expected to have significant experience in the AEM/Cq5/JAVA/Linux technology stack but is also expected to have a good exposure with the technologies within the .NET/Windows technology stack as well. Experience in various DevOps tools and cloud technologies will be an additional asset for this role.
An expectation of this role is to be able to communicate extremely well within the technology leadership and should have experience working with internal and external partners clearly articulate the technical requirements
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Key Responsibilities
o The Front End Engineer will be responsible for the development and implementation phases in the development life cycle of the brand booking engine, websites, mobile application and other projects aimed at achieving business objectives and enhancing our digital guest experience.
o Front End Engineer is additionally responsible for maintenance and operational support of the various eCommerce systems.
o Responsible for the delivery of a work product in line with specifications agreed with the business leadership.
o Responsible for performing Unit and System testing of the work product per directions from the technology leadership.
o Should be able to understand functional requirements and create technical documentation required to perform the development.
o Will be responsible for all release and deployment activities related to eCommerce systems.

o Use technology best practices to drive product development
o Develop and own coding best practices
o Create and manage technology roadmaps

o Responsible for execution and implementation of technology based activities based on approved capital and operational budgets
· Leadership
o Responsible for mentoring technology team members who are responsible for development and maintenance of various eCommerce systems used in Digital Marketing function.
· Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job
· Performs other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
· 21 years of age
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is essential
· 8+ years of technology experience required.
· Minimum of 3+ years' experience in online business/ecommerce/similar high availability transactional systems.
· Hands on experience of common artifacts used in common software development lifecycles. For example, UML, Entity Relationship, Flow charts, System diagrams and network diagrams
· Mastery with a set of programming and scripting languages, understanding the requirements, strengths and weaknesses of each
· Expert in various Javascript frameworks and front end technologies.
· Have hands on development experience with Adobe AEM/Cq5.
· Well versed in enterprise IT operational issues such as clustering, cloud-based solutions, multi-threading, stateless/stateful services and 24/7 operations
· Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
· Ability to define multiple solution options to business problems
· Expert in database design and technology including tuning, normalization, warehousing, data mining, and reporting
· Thoroughly versed in web technologies including web services, AJAX, web page generation and scripting
· Hands-on experience leveraging Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) paradigms including infrastructure service options, messaging styles, and canonical design
· Conversant with networking technologies and approaches such as routers, firewalls, load balancers, IPS/IDS, VPNs, sub-nets and DMZs
· Experienced with multiple open source and COTS solutions
· Experience integrating ERP and other systems of record (e.g., SAP) with Enterprise Content Management Systems (e.g., Adobe AEM)
· Experience in various CMS systems like Drupal, Joomla.
· Proven ability to work independently; designing, developing and deploying solutions, and to deliver projects on time and on budget with minimal direction
· Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Excellent teamwork skills
Required Technology experience
· At least 3+ years of development experience on the Adobe Experience Manager / CQ5 product platform
· Recent development experience with AEM 6.2
· Expert in HTML5, CSS and Front end web technologies, including various JavaScript frameworks like jQuery, Bootstrap, Angular.
· Demonstrable experience developing responsive web applications and REST based services
· Expert knowledge in OSGi, Sling, and AEM API, Sightly and JSP
· Expert knowledge in Jenkins and Maven
· Working experience in Grunt and Gulp frameworks
· Demonstrate expertise with Java / J2EE/ MQ services
· Familiarity with PHP, Perl, Ruby.
· Development experience in scalable systems using Java modularity – bundles, services, life cycle, modules, runtime and security.
· Design data store schemas – file, index, relational.
· Accurately evaluate technical level of effort and scope of requirements.
· Familiarity with cloud based solutions IaaS.
· Familiarity with managing Linux/Apache or Windows/IIS based web hosting
· Experience with Git/TFS version control systems
· Familiarity with .NET/Microsoft technology stack (C#, ASP.NET).
· Experience programming with either SQL Server 2016 or Oracle
· Familiarity with MongoDB and MySQL would be a plus.
