Roles & Responsibilities include -
1. Maintain business intelligence environment and systems day-to-day to ensure availability
2. Monitor and tune system performance, CPU, Memory, Storage, Network – report, plan, schedule, coordinate, communicate, execute, signify, attest, and test adjustments accordingly
3. Monitor software license compliance and thresholds with regular cadence reporting to management
4. Monitor user levels with regular cadence reporting to management
5. Monitor, plan, schedule, coordinate, communicate, signify, attest, report and test operating system, hardware, component patches affecting business intelligence environments and address impacts.
6. Respond to and mitigate business intelligence environment and system incidents and problems
7. Maintain plan, schedule, coordinate, communicate, signify, attest, report, test, address impacts and execute business intelligence environment and system software patches, service packs, fix packs, upgrades
8. Review logs, identify patterns in logs, address issues stemming from logs, plan fix or tuning, schedule, coordinate, communicate, signify, attest, report, test, address impacts and execute
9. Recommend improvements
10. Maintain documentation – portfolio, as-built, best practices, standards, and procedures
