Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of experience with automation experience with Puppet
7+ experience as a Linux Administration of CentOS/RHEL distributions
BS Degree in a related field or 4 years' equivalent experience
Cloud IaaS and PaaS solutions from Azure and/or AWS
Platform monitoring tools
Strong understanding of web services (REST, SOAP, XML, JSON), and the infrastructure necessary to support a highly available SOA environment
Excellent customer service and communication skills (both verbal and written)
Attention to detail and a drive to always make things better
Experience with the following is helpful:
Cassandra, Hadoop, SOLR, Spark and other big data technologies
NGINX
The Atlassian suite (Jira, Bamboo, Confluence, Stash/Bitbucket, etc.)
Modern security standards and best practices
Experience configuring and deploying platform management and monitoring tools
Familiarity with the challenges of working with teams across multiple time zones
Windows Domain integration projects
Management of technical projects (either for a team or for sole-responsibility solutions
Job Responsibilities:
Help manage RHEL solutions and services for multiple environments and domains
Design, build, maintain, and performance tune Linux systems and other Linux-based applications
Support systems automation and change management
Modernize legacy systems and solutions where possible
Develop and maintain documentation
Work with development teams to ensure continuous support and standards maintenance throughout SDLC
