Southern Cameroons: UB Student Set on Fire After Classes: Few Students and Teachers Attending Classes Flee for their Lives: UB now Ghost Campus

Developing Story: UB student set on Fire.

I am just from calling one of my foot soldiers in Buea to get the temperature of event. Before getting into the business of the day, he revealed to me what happened in UB last week and that caused the very few students in UB to flee home with parents calling their children home. I am shocked that social media did not have this information before now. Let BaretaNews break it.

Apart from UB VC cancelling CAs written by few, BaretaNews c...an now confirmed that some unidentified men attacked a student at UB campus after he left a class. Fuel was poured on him and set ablaze. Due to the timely intervention of security guards as a result of his screams, he was safed. BaretaNews cannot tell how much damage was caused.

BaretaNews reporter on the ground says the news spread like wild fire and as a result, UB campus has become ghosted since last week with the few students on campus running home. The few UB science lecturers who were teaching have stopped also.

BaretaNews reporter also said Lycee Molyko science laboratory was ravaged last week also to ashes because of the stubbornness of Francophones and few Anglophones going to school.

BaretaNews is sorry for bringing these developments late because I have been trying to reach my sources. We are surprised that this didn't filter out yet. Well, we are breaking the news for you.

We, however, continue to denounce such violence as it has no place in our culture. Let us continue to push non civil disobedience. Also, we call on all those disrespecting the people's call to start respecting so as to avoid things like these.

Follow the consortium directives and all will be fine. BaretaNews shall bring later the situation report regarding today's ghost towns.

BaretaNews.
