U.K. witnessed free fall in enrollments and many MBA Colleges and B-Schools wound up in 2008-10. Pretty soon that tornado crossed our continent and we say many B-Schools floundering and many closing down. IT companies who enjoyed the golden era are now unable to rake in the profits and are again resorting to the dreaded pink-slips and downsizing. Real Estate Builders are down in the dump and even once famed names among the Builders lobby are lobbying with the Government for relaxation of rules. Politics is the only sector which has booming business in our Country but here too risks have doubled with a very much vigilant media snooping around and turning non-issues into Breaking News. B-Schools and colleges still continue to push and pedal the same old curriculum without bringing the needed changes as the Industry Academic collaborations have been only limited to Internship dating. Some Finance Specialization B-Schools tied up with Banking Sector for specialized curriculum suiting the needs of the Banking Industry with assured placement. However with Privatization of Banks though there was a buzz about increased availability for the special school candidates in reality however it failed to translate into the desired results in placement. Global Revolution seems to suggest that we could be heading for another Industrial revolution.
