Consortium Extends Ghost Towns Days, Maintains No School Resumption

The Cameroon Anglophone Civil Society Consortium, CACSC, one of the frontline movements advocating for the interests of Southern Cameroonians, has extended, 'Ghost Towns,' to three days a week, from Monday August 14.  CACSC also calls on Southern Cameroonians to stay indoors between the hours of 6:00 pm to 6:00 am and for locals to stock food in their homes.

In a statement issued by the Deputy Secretary General and the Programs Coordinator, August 6 2017, they attributed the decision to what they term 'issues at stake."

The Consortium's release which calls on Southern Cameroonians to wait for directives from the Southern Cameroons Governing Council,  is coming at a time when the Cameroon government has slated the start of  the 2017/2018 academic year, for early September.
