Ego (superiority complex), apprehension (missing confidence) and lack of initiative are the roadblock for the faculty to visit and interact with industry.----Sir, Are these qualities of faculty?
If it so ,I strongly disagree.
Due to mushroom growth of management college,Deemed univeristies etc, Industries are unable to provide practical exposure through industrail visit. Many industries welcome students to visit. Ex- Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited (KSDL).
Here there are many reasons for lack of industrail visits.
1.From industries
2. From students
3. From institutes.
Before coming to inference we must look into many points I feel.

These are the major hurdles in developing relationship with industries.

- The relationship between institute and industry.
- There is no free lunch. The faculty and institute needs to ensure industry they can contribute to industry growth. This can be done if faculty move nearer to industry, get involved in their issues/problems providing them acceptable solutions within a given time frame. One of my students reduced scrap to 1.5% from 3 %, a case of small industry in Bhosari area in Pune..
