I was born in a village with no electricity, road or water supply. I studied in the village school sitting on cow dung coated floor. Our only teacher perhaps himself was no more than eight classes but the dedication and love with which he gave us the initial exposure to learning not only developed my interest learning but he is still a part of my fond memory.

Also the professor should understand the students and handle them accordingly. As a class we get a variety of good, average , sensitive , non sensitive students ... so we should handle the students accordingly.

 

Students will never look back at a teacher and say 'mam you made a difference in my life , thank you' if the teacher is rude, never understands the student sensitivity and behaves very badly with the student and most importantly makes use of the student for their own benefit.

 

These points I'm illustrating based on my experience as a teacher and a student as well.
