Re: [ACEsthetics] iPad backup problem

A. Herein lieth the lesson: ALWAYS make a FULL back up in iTunes while your device is connected with your Mac/PC BEFORE doing ANY major OS update. The backup to iTunes on the computer is more comprehensive than the "normal" one that you do to iCloud or even the one it supposedly does during the update process.

B. IF you previously had it backed up to iCloud (if you had it set to automatically backup to iCloud prior to your update--which is VERY smart to do), you should be able to restore it from your iCloud backup. However, first you have to reset your iPad and make it think that it is a new iPad to begin the process. Here is a link that can help you through it:

My concern is that it SOUNDS like you already did something similar and it didn't help, and that may mean that you didn't have a backup to restore from. In that case, you may be hosed.

I updated the iOS on my ipad and when I plugged it into my PC it asked me if I wanted to set it up as a new ipad or restore from back up. I was not thinking and restored from back up.  Now all my data is gone.  Where on the pc are the back ups located?  Maybe I can find a back up with data.
