Yes, Sir. Administrative functions are being entrusted to Teachers, such as house-keeping, security, water arrangement, and so on.

The same trend is on in professional colleges too.

Last year, a man-handling incident took place in the College hostel, where I worked last year,  between two groups of students.   The Admn., staff, Hostel warden and other related personnel were not asked to handle the issue.  But it was entrusted to all management faculty members, by the Director of the Institute. The faculty members when expressed their reluctance, in the matter, were asked to submit resignation at the instructions of the Secretary of the College.

Sirs, these are all perennial occurrences and faculty members are helpless.

Nobody could judge the situation. Faculty functions are often undergoing a precarious status.

But it is very common in colleges [HE] and it is named as Academic Administration and also calculated in the world-load. Many places administrative staffs are very few and most of the activities run by faculty only.
