Re: [MTC Global] Teachers are not Clerk

To all my fellow colleagues 

My gut feeling and experience for more than 50 years tell me that the present generation of teachers has  stopped reading be it books, journals, classical original texts or research work. Most of them are happy with their pay packets and spend time on issues other than academic. My statement shall not be liked by most of the teachers but the fact remains. Let me add that it does not apply to all, there are some teachers who are highly academic and are pursuing their studies and research.

The above is true of universities as well private sector institutions. My sincere request to you my fellow teachers is :  kindly work hard, bring laurels to teaching profession and happiness to one and all. You are my dear teachers the builders of society. Kindly forgive me for plain speaking. I remain your very truly, Bhagwati prasad

But it is very common in colleges [HE] and it is named as Academic Administration and also calculated in the world-load. Many places administrative staffs are very few and most of the activities run by faculty only.
