| Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills | • 9+ years of experience in the field of Oracle PL/SQL Development • 5+ years of experience in Data Warehousing • 5+Experience on ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) is mandatory • 5+ years of Strong UNIX command and UNIX Shell scripting experience • Hands on experience on SQL Loader. • Advanced SQL coding skills • Solid understanding of Data Modeling concepts • Technical team management experience including offshore team members • Excellent personal communication, leadership, and organizational skills • Retail related data warehousing experience a plus • Hands on Performance tuning (Table partition, hints,indexes) • 5 + years of Experience in writing cron jobs |
| Roles and responsibility | ü Guide onshore and offshore Oracle Developers to ensure standards are met ü Work with the application development teams throughout the development life cycle ü Lead or participate in Proof-of-Concept projects ü Stay current with emerging industry trends ü Ability to take initiative and ownership on tasks ü Create Detail design document based on the business requirement ü Ability to monitor batch jobs. ü Good written and oral communication ü Explain complex design items through documents and white-board sessions ü SQL knowledge and performance tuning experience needed |
