In the media, the debate on cancellation of licences to NGOs has been continuously one sided. If the foreign funding is only for humanitarian purpose, the government action of repressing NGOs may be incorrect. There is is a feeling that in the guise of humanitarian gestures, there are certain concern like making use of the funds for religious conversions and using the funds for scholastic projects which pervert Indian History. The famous Romilla Thaper of 'Aryan Invasion theory' is also from JNU. There should be a debate as to how these funds have been used for the past few decades and what is the motive of the givers.

For example the University of Delhi has as many as 50 MoUs with various universities and these programmes may be affected.Author: Suchitra BehalEDUCATE, EMPOWER, ELEVATEProf. Bholanath DuttaVisionary Edupreneur, Founder & PresidentMTC Global: An Apex Global AdvisoryBody in Management EducationCell: +91 96323 18178 / +91 81520 60465 / +91 7411716392
