Re: [MTC Global] National Knowledge Commission

I differ for there is no harmony among our thoughts, speakings/writings and actions!.

There are no path breaking suggestions as such for similar things have been suggested from time to time in the matter by different commissions in India right from 1968. We appoint a commission to pretend that action is initiated  to win over the issue, public gets relaxed hoping good days are coming. We spend lakhs of rupees on the commission, one fine morning, though normally delayed, the Govt. receives the report, sends it into the record room, normally never to come back unless there is a pressure. If there is a pressure, the report is tabled, discussion is in progress that is what we understand. In most of the cases we either reject it or just forget it. We strictly follow democratic functioning.

Autonomy,self-financed, de-linking degrees from jobs (NEP 1986),accreditation and other buzz words bear different connotations in India. Just think over functioning of 5 Star universities, A Grade Autonomous colleges or ISO certified industry and other organizations. Are the labels matching with our outcome? Can we believe in that fees of over 70% students (which in over Rs Lakhs in SEFIEs and around Rs 30000 pa in Govt./Aided professional institutes)  in sefies is borne by Govt., public funding?
