Dear Sir,
This is quite interesting; here are some examples:
- Our University was researching for leaf-protein extraction from Lucern Grass and its utilization for nutraceuticals production; our student project successfully provided hand operated juice extraction machine was well appreciated in order to take the first operation to the farmer's field for utilizing the biomass for cattle feed and poultry feed supplementation. Juice coagulating apparatus was simplified for continuous operation and reliability. The total project may now be scaled-up for commercialization.
- Awareness programs in Human Genome project and its outcomes were popularized among local pharmaceutical and seed sector units in order to bring them together for "Molecular Harvesting" initiative " PhytoPharma" to express valuable drug molecules in various crops.
- Energy Audit services have been made available at the door steps of all automotive sector component manufacturers as well as process houses.
- Atmospheric air is so refreshing after a drizzle due to ionization; global research has explored it for improving fuel consumption for open flame applications like oil-fired furnaces and boilers; this was demonstrated by us to be equally interesting for enhancing diesel engine performance for closed flame application. Student project to design air ionization by air bubbling though water demonstrated its significance at local engine manufacturer.
- Bio-Diesel Laboratory has been exemplary collaborative exercise with renowned researchers at global level.
- Collaborative initiative for popularizing Energy Harvesting for Community Micro-grids with MTC_Global will be feather in the cap.

I do not find many colleges truly involve in the community development and contribute to local economy. There is a need to change the academic leadership style wherein academia and local industry can work hand in hand for the mutual benefits.
It would be great if MTCians can share their experience wherein they tied up with some local industry [SME], worked together and also the outcome of such initiative.
