[MTC Global] No Indian Varsity In Times Top 200 Universities For International Students

NEW DELHI, 29TH Apr 2017:  According to the data collected by the Times Higher Education, no Indian University was featured in the top 200 list based on the percentage of international students. The lesser enrollment of foreign candidates in Indian universities is certainly something to ponder over, especially when the global education platform is getting closer and closer. Contrary to this, there's an upsurge in the interest of Indian students to study abroad.

While London is one of the most represented cities in the list, younger universities have also grabbed better positions than their older counterparts; thus proving that these new universities seem to be attracting more international students than others.

Among the top 200 universities, American University of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates has the higher percentage of foreign students. Though a small University with 5000 student capacity, it boasts of 84 per cent of the total students for its international student body chiefly from Egypt, Jordan and India.
The University is a part of the Association of American International Colleges and offers 13 master's degree programmes.

Consistently ranking in top 30 Universities in the world since past 5 years, London School of Economics and Political Science enrolls foreign students from more than 140 countries. "Alumni from LSE comprise more than 136,000 people from almost 200 countries, and include 16 Nobel prizewinners and 37 past or present world leaders" the Times Higher Education quoted.
