In the field of education it is very important to have a strong support system. Mentor-ship is something that is overlooked at times, however, as educators we should not do without. Teachers are given the job of counseling and mentorship as an additional workload which dilute its importance. Few places do have professional counselor but again they are so much overloaded with unnecessary work that their focus is lost.
-- Regulatory body has direction to have professional counselor in the campus but again it is just an arrangement to ensure compliance. Real outcome is very negligible.
