Sir, The Govt, the largest organization, runs full page ads in the newspapers and the
press about its schemes. The Political Parties run large hoardings about the good work
done for the poor and the citizens, the filmmakers run huge ads about their movies. So
there is nothing wrong about advertising and branding the CSR activities.

Many corporates however, consider the CSR as something to be a "ticked item" so that they
comply at a very minimum by donating money to the PM relief fund. This is also
acceptable.These companies do good because they are forced to do good.

But some large enterprises would want to do good and also be seen as doing good. They do
consider that CSR opens up a channel to create a good image in the community. It would
also benefit them in retaining loyal customers. CSR is like sowing good seeds to later
harvest the benefits for the company's growth and profitability.
